Public Sector Programs

THE VBP GROUP is uniquely qualified to assist Federal agencies in their compliance with Federal legislative standards requiring reports on EEO standards and a diverse workforce:

Public Sector Compliance:
Among its services, the VBP Group can assist Federal agencies in complying with laws such as the No FEAR Act. The VBP Group’s extensive knowledge of the intent behind the No FEAR Act, and its workings, serves to ensure that Federal managers receive adequate training in the management of a diverse workforce. Where early problems arise, the VBP Group can assist in alternative dispute resolution, as well as in establishing effective communication models to address these challenges. As part of its services, the VBP Group utilizes innovative methods of communication. This technology includes both audio and video training products that can be heard and viewed on computers and on MP3 players and iPods. We offer web casts and other web-based services to assist in educating supervisors and employees on both the law and the training tools that Federal agency managers have available to assist them in EEO compliance. Additionally, the VBP Group offers employee and applicant survey services to assist agencies to comply with new Office of Personnel Management requirements.

Public Sector Research And Analysis:
As part of his government service, Mr. Parker was responsible for the oversight and preparation of complex research and analytical projects in the area of civil rights. He and other members of the VBP Group with similar backgrounds are now providing that expertise to Federal agencies (i) to provide independent analysis to verify compliance with civil rights goals both as they relate to the workforce and beneficiaries of the Federal programs; (ii) to make concrete recommendations on how current systems and procedures can be improved; and (iii) to prepare clear and concise reports designed to assist decision makers in addressing existing civil rights and human resource issues. For example, compliance with the No FEAR Act includes an obligation to conduct studies on the trends and causes of complaints of discrimination and to implement new measures to improve the complaint process and the overall work environment. As part of our services in this area, the VBP Group offers state-of-the-art techniques for interviewing current and exiting employees to assist agencies in determining areas of concern and possible solutions as well as trends.
